Hurting Lonely People
I have been very involved in my family and my studies in the Word and my business recently. Daily I am surrounded by positive, energetic people. Everyone seems to be struggling in one way or another, with the economy and all, but for the most part the people I see and interact with are happy and are greatly aware of their blessings.
Recently I came across a couple of women who I can only imagine are hurting and lonely. I was saddened by their bitterness and surprised by their ability to lash out so strongly. I was caught off guard a little bit because it was two separate occasions, yet within just a few days of each other. At first, I admit I was angry. But as I thought more about the circumstances I felt very sad for each of these women.
I've been called by Christ to love my neighbors. These women are not my actual neighbors, but they are neighbors in my local community and I have been prompted to pray for not only them but all those living in my town who are afraid, lonely, scared and hurting. I think there are more and more people living like this each day.
Satan wants nothing more than to defeat us. All of us. He's only got one shot at this and he's gonna put in every ounce of energy he can to making us doubt, become selfish, wallow in self-pity and feel like we're all alone.
The thing is, we're not alone and we're not without a mighty Savior who can pull us out of the deepest of pits and set our feet upon the rock.
The verse I have been meditating on this summer is Romans 8:32 - "Since God did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everything else?"
He wants us to live victoriously. He wants us to be joyful. He wants us to help one another. He wants us to see ourselves as He sees us. I am sad for these women who feel the need to push others away but God can do miraculous works and I will continue to pray for these dear sisters who God wants to save and bring into fullness in Him.
So to you who are faithful, may grace and peace be yours from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Press on and pray without ceasing for those who are suffering. For your prayers have been heard. Amen.

There is a lot going on in my Funki brain as of late. It's been a whirlwind of deep thought activity!
As soon as I sort through the tangles I'll post some ideas and thoughts.
Some of the stuff I'm sorting through include:

Service
Faith
We'll see what comes out of some of these things. Check back soon!
